Privacy policy

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address, and optional profile picture. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and avatar from your Google account.

Content you contribute: climbing areas, sectors, boulders, routes, photos, comments and beta videos (video links). Published content is public and may show your profile name. Pending contributions follow community permissions and review.

Print orders: if you order a print, we collect the name, email, phone, and shipping address you provide, used only to fulfill the order.

Technical data: the website uses cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address and request time). The website uses cookieless Vercel Web Analytics for page views and anonymous search, download and contribution outcomes. We do not use advertising trackers. Guides you save for offline use and unfinished topos stay in your browser's storage, as described below.

How we use your data

To operate your account, display your contributions, send transactional emails (such as account deletion confirmations), and moderate community content. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Where your data lives

Data is processed by our service providers: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (image storage), Resend (transactional email), and Google (optional sign-in).

Guides you save for offline use (pages and photos) are stored in your browser. The text and line points of an unfinished topo are saved in your browser, tied to your account, until you submit it or sign out. Photos you choose while preparing a topo are uploaded to our image storage as soon as you select them.

The Escaladinha app

The Escaladinha app collects no personal data: it has no account, no sign-in and no analytics. It downloads the public guide and its photos from escaladinha.com.br and keeps them on your phone, along with your settings (such as the grade scale) and the areas you save for offline use. The app sends none of this to us, though your phone's own backup may include it. The servers that answer these downloads keep the same standard logs (IP address and request time) as for the website. Partner banners and other external links open in your browser. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, removes what it stored from the phone. Questions about the app: contato@escaladinha.com.br.

Public information

Your profile name, contributions, comments, and beta videos are visible to anyone. Your email address is never shown publicly.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Escaladinha account in the app or on the website. In the app, open Profile → Delete account and confirm with your password or by signing in again with Google or Apple. On the website, sign in, open your profile using the link below, choose Delete account and confirm using the link sent to your email. If you can't sign in, write to contato@escaladinha.com.br from the account's email address, and the account will be deleted within 30 days.

Deletion is immediate and can't be undone. We erase your name, email address and profile picture, your password and social sign-ins, your sessions, all your comments and beta videos (including ones already hidden), blocks you made or received, and any area moderation roles.

Some information is kept without identifying you. Your topo contributions (areas, sectors, boulders, routes and photos) remain on the website, credited to no one. Moderation history is kept too: reports you filed lose the reporter's name, reports about you or your content stay on record, and wherever that history stored your name or excerpts of your comments, it now reads “Conta excluída” (deleted account).

After deletion, the same email address can sign up again as a brand-new account. The exception is accounts suspended for breaking the rules: for those we keep only a SHA-256 hash of the email address (a code computed from it, not the address itself), used solely to stop it from creating a new account.

Deleting your account does not erase guides or drafts already saved in your browser. Clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove them.

Your rights

Under the LGPD (Brazil) and similar laws, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact us at mbx.philipe@gmail.com.

Children

Escaladinha is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision.
